More than just a workplace: How we practice employee retention at FARBE BLAU
What makes a workplace a place where you not only work, but also feel truly comfortable?
For us at FARBE BLAU, the answer is clear: it’s the people, the camaraderie, and a culture based on trust, health, and genuine appreciation.
A special milestone shows that we are not alone in this: in the winter 2025 issue of the magazine of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs (VdU), Sinja was portrayed with FARBE BLAU as a positive example of employee-oriented corporate culture.
Health as a lived value
Healthy snacks, a modern office, and fresh air at Lake Ammersee, maximum flexible working hours, and working from home—at first glance, this sounds like standard practice. But for Sinja, it’s more than that. “I attach great importance to the physical and mental well-being of my employees,” Sinja told VdU magazine. She firmly believes that creativity can only flourish when people feel good. That’s why she creates an environment for her employees that allows for a healthy work-life balance and promotes their health. For example, fruit and drinks are always available in the office. And she’s not done yet: collaborations with gyms and yoga classes are set to follow soon.
Workshop with impact
A particular highlight in 2025 was the first large team workshop at a wellness hotel in Garmisch. In the strategy sessions, the team reflected on internal processes, defined new roles, and strengthened teamwork. Afterwards, the hotel’s spa facilities were available for use. The combination of relaxation and inspiration was well received and became the starting point for new guidelines in everyday work. “We deliberately took the time to listen, discuss, and grow together,” says Sinja.
Visibility that makes us proud
The article in VdU magazine not only highlighted our agency’s values, but also made the entire team proud. FARBE BLAU wants to continue to be a positive example like this.
Conclusion? We’re staying on track.
For Sinja, employee retention is not a project with a deadline, but an ongoing process. She listens, tries things out, reflects, learns and celebrates what is going well together with her team. Because when she creates an internal environment in which people enjoy working and are healthy, it creates a charisma that extends far beyond the agency.
